Acacia Ridge Community Bank® Branch opened its doors on 23 November 2005. Since opening we have returned over $300K back to our community in sponsorships, grants and donations.

Sponsorships to date include:
Bus Transports College students to TAFE
- Through a partnership with St Thomas More College Sunnybank, our branch has funded the purchase of a new 14 seater bus enabling the college to offer their students a Vocational Education pathway of study and to provide these students with transportation to and from the respective TAFE colleges of their studies.

Acknowledging great achievements
- Our Branch has been honoured to sponsor all major awards at the Southside Christian College’s Annual Awards Night. Recognising and celebrating the hard work and dedication of these students in the respective categories is a very proud moment not only for these students but also for the Branch staff

Tapping their way to success
- Costumes funded by our branch enable the dancers of Walker Irish School of Dance to look every bit professional as they compete in championships and competitions throughout Queensland and at a national level.

Students become technology savvy
- Our Branch was pleased to be able to replace ageing desktop computers at Our Lady of Fatima School Acacia Ridge with the latest laptops and software. Maximum usage and exposure to the laptops has been achieved through the provision of a portable docking station which enables the teachers to easily transport the laptops for sharing between classes.

A Healthy Breakfast starts the day
- Active play and a busy day begin with a healthy nutritious breakfast for the children of YMCA’s Community Early Childhood Centre Acacia Ridge. Funded by our branch, daily each child enjoys cereal, toast and milk with their friends.

School Musical is a sell-out
- Thanks to the sponsorship provided by our branch to cover the costs of costumes, copyright, venue hire and rehearsals, both nights of St Stephen’s School Algester’s Musical – Sindbad Sails Again with all the kids at sea” was performed to sell out crowds.

Music Unites Cultures
- Acacia Ridge State School has established a very engaging and exciting music program as a basis for engaging the many and diverse cultures they have enrolled in their school by using the most common language of all – Music! The funding provided by our branch enabled the school to purchase a guitar program and consumables.

Technology is Key to Learning
- The Sunnybank Community preschool and kindergarten were recipients of 4 new ipads. Staff will use the ipads as another method of teaching these students early literacy and numeracy skills. Our Branch staff are always excited to support these students.

Dance fever hits the students
- The students of Watson Road State School Acacia Ridge participate in the school based curriculum program – Dance Fever. The children gained great pleasure as they performed their new moves for the audience. Funded by our branch, the program has helped the students gain social skills, confidence, co-ordination and self esteem.
